If 2020 Was a Bag...

The Prada Re-Edition 2000 Nylon Mini Bag has taken the fashion industry by storm this season.

Seemingly the only good thing to come out of 2020 so far, this nylon shoulder bag has infiltrated the fashion scene, with every instagram influencer and ‘it girl’ casually sporting the bag with their outfits.

Fashion newsletter come clothing brand, Who What Wear, stated that the Re-Edition bag was “one of the most ubiquitous staples seen in street style images from New York Fashion Week”, with the everyday consumer continuing this trend by adding the bag to their wardrobes.

Made only from regenerated nylon yarn, the re-edition is part of a campaign with Selfridges’ #ProjectEarth initiative, in which Selfridges is raising awareness about sustainable shopping. Whilst inviting customers to discover design innovations, this retailer implements ‘thought-provoking ideas in sustainability’ alongside them.

Available in a multitude of bright and playful colour ways, including yellows, pinks, blues and greens, along with the staple black, it is no surprise that this bag has become a symbol of identity for the chic, street style, fashion seekers.

The youthful bag is a nostalgic nod to the early 2000s, when shoulder bags were originally in their prime, and the re-invention of the Pravda bag has proven highly successful, by spending a lot of its time out of stock.

It’s clear that this bag isn’t going out of style anytime soon and will continued to be loved through its new lease of life, until next time it’s reinvented in another couple of decades.
